This portfolio is aimed at highlighting some of my experiences and research interests. I’m a PhD candidate in the Climate Dynamics program at George Mason University hoping to graduate in the fall of 2021.

My current research hopes to understand the mechanisms that drive the relationship between soil moisture deficit and hot extremes, and how it leads to the occurrence and persistence of heatwaves. Accurate prediction of heatwaves will lead to better measures in planning and allocation of resources to combat these extreme events that could pose a real danger to lives and agriculture as well.
